Hypocrisy or Irony?

I don’t have enough time to make fun of every instance of hypocrisy in politics, but today I came across a couple particularly funny examples. One was from the WSJ, which reported that workers at the progressive media outlet Media Matters want to unionize. This should be pretty uncontroversial because Media Matters as a publication is a strong supporter of unions. Apparently, however, Media Matters as a company does not like unions and is resisting their employees’ attempt to unionize. As they say: Unionization is always good until it happens to your workforce….

The other example of hypocrisy comes from a group of Marxists in England who want to copyright works published by Marx and Engels, thus giving them property rights over the publications. I don’t think I need to explain why Marxists wanting property rights is ironic…
